Our HSJ Team is looking forward to welcoming you to the HSJ Online Hope Run/Walk from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday, August 3 with a flexible starting time during that period. 

David Webster will be there very early and later if preferring another time that day. The registration area will be somewhat close to Simmons School. 

The 5K-ish course is one lap around the track and the outside perimeter of the Flat Rock-Hawcreek Campus and then another lap. It can be a leisure walk or a timed run; it can be the entire course or part of it; it can be the designed route or a different one. The Child Course is several times around the inside perimeter while staying on the asphalt. Strollers, scooters, tricycles, or bicycles might be the preference of children participating over walking. 

Several bathrooms will be available. If by chance it is raining, Facility and Transportation Director JB Royer will have the Hauser Fieldhouse available where 24 laps become the 5K-ish Course. Water and energy bars will be provided. Sally Webster will be performing acoustic sets and knows many songs, including songs for kids. It is likely just a matter of requesting your favorite. 

We encourage organizations and families to run/walk and enjoy the event and know the Chandler family will be represented by eight members, the Loyd family by seven, the Mings family by six. Many shirts by Special by Design have been preordered while a few additional ones will be at the Registration Table. 

It is not too late to contact David Webster at 812-390-6550 to preregister, or you can register Saturday morning. Please try to help us break our record of participants while our goal is 75.

Several businesses will be offering 10% off on Saturday, August 3, if wearing the Hope Changes All wristband received at the event. And our sponsors cover expenses for the event which consequently helps HSJ, as well as the Hauser Athletic Department.
