The town of Hope is hosting an informational mental health awareness Community Workshop from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, August 2 at WILLow LeaVes of Hope, located at 326 Jackson St. in downtown Hope.
According to Hope Town Manager Jason Eckart, the workshop is being offered in conjunction with the town of Hope’s application for a potential grant with a 50/50 match up to $50,000 through the Building Socially Connected Communities grant program, which is designed as a proactive approach to help increase social connection opportunities in rural communities across Indiana.
“The grant is highly competitive,” Eckart says. “But it is worth a try.”
Friday’s public engagement meeting is open to all Hope residents, Eckart says, and will offer an opportunity for discussion and questions.
