UPDATED 6:17 p.m. 05/30 -- Due to unforeseen circumstances, this event is CANCELLED and has been rescheduled for the weekend of August 9 - 11. Please visit the church HERE for future updates.

A special free presentation of the musical “Star Queen” will be presented at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Chapel of the Good Shepherd, located at 7230 E 700 N. in Hope.

This fun-filled musical is the interactive story of Queen Esther and how she came to be one of the most influential figures in the Old Testament. Written and presented by the father-son duo Tommy and John Thomas Oaks, this family-friendly show will feature the pair playing all the characters as the audience “parties like the Persians” – booing at the villains, cheering for the heroes and enjoying the musical setting of Queen Esther.

Dr. Tommy Oaks and John Thomas Oaks hail from Knoxville, Tenn., and are no strangers to Hope as they’ve performed previously at WILLow LeaVes of Hope. When the two aren’t leading worship services under the bridge, they travel around sharing one of their many original musicals with audiences all over the United States.

The Oaks will also be leading the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at Chapel of the Good Shepherd.
