Game Report for Week 10/07: Volleyball, Cross Country & Soccer

Volleyball
@ Edinburgh – The Volleyball Team traveled to Edinburgh on Tuesday night for an MHC match. The Jets took a 2-0 lead, but couldn’t hold on losing in 5 sets. The Jets will travel to Trinity Lutheran on Saturday for sectional play and face the winner of Trinity Lutheran and Oldenburg Academy.

B/G Cross Country
@ MHC – The Boys Cross Country Team participated in the MHC meet on Saturday morning. Junior Nolan Dailey raced himself to the front of the pack and forged ahead to a convincing victory to claim the MHC individual title. He was followed by MHC All-Conference performers in 4th place Mason Moore, 5th place Max Moore, and 6th place Koleson Gernentz. Braydon McFarland was 13th place, Grady Niccum and Mason Johnson went 16th and 17th place and Lukas Christian took 24th place for the Jets. For the third year in a row the Jets claimed the team title and Coach Finke was named MHC Coach of the Year. The Jets look forward to sectional action on Saturday at Brown County with the boys’ race schedule to start at 11:15 a.m. 8th Grader Jace Wright was Jr. High MHC Champ, and the Boys Jr. High Cross Country won the MHC for the 7th time in a row!

Girls Soccer
@ Monrovia v. Triton Central
– The Girls Soccer Team was defeated in sectional play by Triton Central on Thursday at Monrovia. The girls ended their very first season at 3-11-4. The program would like to thank all the parents, staff, and students for all the support this season and are looking forward too many more girl soccer seasons.

Boys Soccer
@ Southwestern vs. Southwestern – The Boys Soccer Team was defeated by Southwestern in sectional play on Monday at Southwestern. The boys ended the season 4-11-2 and wanted to thank all the parents, staff, and students for all the support this season.
