Game Report for Week 08/26: Cross Country

@ Rushville Invite -- The Hauser boys’ cross-country team took first place among Division II schools at Saturday’s Rushville Invitational. Nolan Dailey was the DII champion and the overall runner-up with a time of 16:53.0. Adrean Tungate placed 5th (18:15.3), Mason Moore (18:36.3) and Max Moore (18:47.7) took 11th and 12th, and Braydon McFarland finished in 19th place. (19:37.7). Philippe Eugene came in 28th (21:17.6), Grady Niccum was 30th (21:35.4), and Mason Johnson (23:52.6) and Lukas Christian (24:02.6) finished 51st and 52nd. Dailey, Tungate, Mason Moore, Max Moore, McFarland, Eugene, and Christian set all-time personal bests in only the second 5K race of the season. Junior High Teams Place Ninth at Greensburg
Hauser's middle school team competed in the Greensburg Invitational last Monday, with the boys and girls both taking ninth place in a very competitive field of over twenty schools. Greensburg won the girls race, while St. Peter's Lutheran took first in the boys’ race.

Kendalyn Gernentz was the leading girl for the Jets, taking 23rd with a time of 13:34.9 for the 3K race. Other Hauser runners in the varsity race: Lexin Ruble (14:33.5) 37th, Jaylee Maughon (15:35.9) 64th, Kali Burgdorf (16:16.4) 77th, Anna Crowder (16:23.2) 78th, Molly Carman (16:32.5) 81st and Kenzie Straight (20:08.5) 127th.

Jace Wright took third in the boys’ race with a time of 11:01.1. Also running in the varsity contest for the Jets were Nevin Noble (13:19.7) 44th, Wyatt Leonard (13:26.6) 47th, Jakobi Noble (13:29.9) 49th, Raylin Noble (14:27.4) 81st, Owen Beal (15:17.7) 99th and Graham Dickerson (15:37.7) 104th.

The junior high Jets will have a busy racing schedule this week, competing in the Waldron Mohawk Invitational on Tuesday and a meet at Brown County on Thursday.
