The crispness of fall is here and that means the return of Ready, Set, G.L.O.W. Light Up the Night 5K -- made possible by Hope FFA and G.L.O.W. Like Sarah.
The competitive 5K event offers an open road course where runners run through color stations where they will be splattered with glow in the dark paint. Runners should wear white to make the best use of the glow in the dark paint splatters, organizers recommend. Glow sticks are encouraged.
Cost is $35 per participant. Registration ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT September 20.
There will be photo opportunities following the race.
Packet pickup is Saturday, September 21 at 5 p.m. at Hauser Jr.-Sr. High School, located at 9273 N. State Road 9, Hope. Use Athletic Complex parking and enter through door 20.
Additional items runners should consider bringing are a towel or trash bag to protect car seats from paint splatter following the race. Safety glasses or sunglasses for eye protection. A hat is also a good idea.
Sarah Taylor was a light to so many in the Hope community and we want to continue to glow like Sarah. Follow the sounds of celebration at Hauser Jr.-Sr. High School (by the ag building/tennis courts) to get ready to run.
All proceeds from this event will benefit the Tyler Trent Foundation.
