Game Report for Week 09/16: Volleyball and Boys Tennis

Volleyball
@ Seymour – The JV and Varsity Teams started the week off on the road at Seymour on Monday night. The JV fell 2-0 (25-18) (25-16) in some very good matches. The Varsity fell 3-0 and Maley Jordan recorded 8 digs, while Aleigha Wickliffe led the team with 2 kills. Leah Manley had an ace and Kaidenze Shoaf had 2 assists. Regan Mack had 7 digs as well. The team will travel to Brown County on Tuesday with volleyball starting at 6 p.m.

@ Brown County – The JV and Varsity Teams traveled to Brown County on Tuesday night. The JV won in two sets while the varsity battled to a 5-set loss. The Jets will host MHC foe South Decatur on Thursday with volleyball starting at 6 p.m.

v. South Decatur – The Volleyball Team hosted a very good South Decatur team on Thursday for an MHC match and fell in three sets. The team fell to 0-2 in MHC play. The girls gear up for another busy week hosting Waldron on Monday with volleyball starting at 6 p.m.

Boys Tennis
v. Edinburgh – Hauser Boys Tennis used a non-conference match vs. Edinburgh to mixed up their line-up. The mixed line-up resulted in a 4-1 Jet win. The team moved to 7-5 on the year. #2 singles RJ Foster beat Matthew Burton 6-2, 7-5. #3 singles Joel Bechtel defeated Braden Cox 6-2, 6-1. #1 doubles Jentzen Bechtel and Hunter Pappano defeated Rylan Londeree and Braylon Lenkner 6-0, 6-2. #2 doubles Jayden Blair and Kameron Blair beat Teddy Crawhorn and Raiden Stanley 6-1, 6-1. #1 singles Colten Hatton fell to Bailey Totten 6-4, 3-6, 1-10. In JV action: Rylan Sessions won his singles match 6-0, and Grayson Gomez fell 1-6 in his. The Boys will travel to Waldron on Tuesday for its final regular season MHC match starting at 4:30 p.m.

@ Waldron – The Boys Tennis Team traveled to Waldron on Tuesday night to finish up the regular season portion of MHC play. Hauser fell to Waldron, 5-0. It moved its record to 7-6 on the year and 3-1 in the MHC. #1 singles Hunter Pappano lost to Charlie Fischer 1-6, 1-6. #2 singles Kameron Blair lost to Jack Fischer 5-7, 5-7. #3 singles Colten Hatton fell to Connor Ping 1-6, 1-6. #1 doubles Jentzen Bechtel and Joel Bechtel fell to Lucas Shaw and Cash Young 2-6, 0-6. #2 doubles Jayden Blair and RJ Foster fell to Jackson Kuhn and Matthew Thomas 3-6, 5-7.

In JV action: Rylan Sessions won his singles match 6-4. Brady Miller won 6-2, and Aiden Reel 3-4. Grayson Kilps and Jacob Bell won their doubles match 6-2.

@ Trinity Lutheran – The Hauser Boys Tennis Team traveled to Trinity Lutheran on Thursday. The team utilized a changed-up lineup for this match and lost 3-2. Two matches went into 3rd set tiebreakers tonight. #3 singles RJ Foster beat Ross Bevers 4-6, 6-4, 6-1. #2 doubles Jayden Blair and Hunter Pappano beat Brody Brown and Rees Roeder 6-1, 4-6, 6-0. #1 singles Kameron Blair fell to Jack Stuckwisch 2-6, 3-6. #2 singles Colten Hatton lost to Luke Shepman 3-6, 3-6. #1 doubles Jentzen Bechtel and Joel Bechtel fell to Nathan Fink and Jonathon Naewedde 0-6, 2-6.

@ MHC – The Boys Tennis Team traveled to Waldron on Saturday morning for the MHC matches. The #1 doubles team of Jentzen Bechtel and Joel Bechtel came home with MHC All Conference honors finishing runner-up to Waldron 0-6, 1-6. #2 singles Kameron Blair, #3 singles Colten Hatton, and the #2 doubles Jayden Blair and RJ Foster all finished second in their brackets. The Jets will host Knightstown on Tuesday starting at 5:30 p.m.
