Patrick E. McQueen, 59, of Hope, passed away on September 24, 2024, at his home.
Born on November 23, 1964, in Columbus, Pat was the son of Owen Lee and Alma Ruth Line McQueen. He married Lori Fields on March 13, 1993.
Pat was employed as the plant manager at US Aggregates in Flat Rock.
He enjoyed using his hands doing carpentry and had the knowledge to fix and do anything, or he would figure it out. He enjoyed watching sports especially the Cincinnati Reds and IU basketball. Pat was proud to have held the track record for high hurdles at Hauser High School for 41 years.
Pat was one in a million. He had a great sense of humor and was loved by so many. He had a love for life and cherished his family and friends. He had a love for the beach and was looking forward to retiring and moving with his wife to be closer to one.
Survivors include his wife, Lori, of Hope; children, Nicole (Corey Buck) McQueen of Hope, Taisha (John) King of Hope, Kristopher (Tara) McQueen of Hope, and Cameron (Courtney Chaplin) of Columbus; grandchildren, Collin Buck, Braydon McFarland, Gavin King, Harlow McQueen, and Haelynn McQueen, all of Hope; sister, Susan (Eddie) Phelps of Hope; mother-in-law, Joann Burton; and brothers-in-law, Kevin Fields and Dan Belisle, both of Seattle, Washington.
Pat is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mike McQueen; and granddaughter, Hadley McQueen.
Following Pat’s wishes, cremation is planned. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 28 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Flat Rock Volunteer Fire Station.
Inurnment will take place at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
