Boys and Girls Cross Country
@ Great Pumpkin Invitational hosted by South Ripley – The Boys Cross Country team took first place at the South Ripley Great Pumpkin Invitational Thursday evening. Nolan Dailey finished second to Milan’s Gabe Riehle with a time of 16:30.04. Koleson Gernentz came in sixth in 18:12.73, Mason Moore was fifteenth (18:40.17), Braydon McFarland 21st (19:38.46), Philippe Eugene 23rd (19:52.61), Mason Johnson 26th (19:59.02), Grady Niccum 29th (20:11.03), and Lukas Christian 43rd (22:43.83). Dailey, Gernentz, Eugene, Johnson, Niccum, and Christian all set personal records. Dailey’s new time moves him up to fifth in program history.

Hauser hosted the 40th annual Hope Heritage Days Classic Saturday, September 28.
v. 40th Annual Heritage Days Classic – Hauser’s varsity boys cross country prevailed over the weather and visiting competition to win the 40th Heritage Days Classic, earning their second invitational championship within the week. Nolan Dailey finished second to Eastern Hancock’s Preston Markley, covering the course in a time of 16:33.5. Koleson Gernentz took eighth place in a time of 18:36.7, Mason Moore finished in tenth in 18:50.2, Max Moore was twelfth in 19:09.3, and Braydon McFarland placed fourteenth in 19:22.2. Philippe Eugene (20:11.5) and Grady Niccum (20:20.1) took eighteenth and nineteenth, Mason Johnson (21:41.9) was 26th, and Lukas Christian (23:22.1) 37th.

The varsity team competes in the Greensburg Invitational on Thursday and again at the Nike XC Town Twilight in Terre Haute on Saturday.

Hauser's cross country squads participated in mid-week invitationals before hosting a rainy but successful Heritage Days Classic on Saturday.
Junior High Runs in Charger Classic
The junior high squad faced the best of area competition Tuesday evening in the Columbus Central Classic at Ceraland. The girls team placed eighth, while the boys took seventh. The Jets were led by Kendalyn Gernentz, who finished twelfth, and Jace Wright, who took a close second place.

Jace Wright was the individual champion in the middle school boys race with a time of 11:01.8, leading the team to second place behind Eastern Hancock. The middle school girls team finished behind Morristown and Indy Genesis, led by a third-place finish by Kendayln Gernentz.

The Week Ahead
The high school team will compete Thursday in the Greensburg Invitational and again Saturday night at the Nike XC Town Twilight in Terre Haute, while the junior high team will take nine qualifying runners to Terre Haute Saturday morning for the Indiana Middle School Championships.
Girls Soccer
v. Austin – The Girls Soccer Team welcomed Austin to the pitch on Tuesday night for senior night. The girls started slow but scored 3 second half goals to secure the first win in school history. Lucie Asher started the party with a goal, followed by goal by Lilly Role, and Austin tipped in the third goal of the night. The six seniors of Lucie Asher, Lilly Role, Rose Role, Haylin Campbell, Lexi Ross, and Kylee Wallace were honored with their parents before the game. The Jets will travel to Scottsburg on Wednesday with soccer starting at 6:30 p.m.
@ Scottsburg – The Girls Soccer Team traveled to Scottsburg on Wednesday night. The Jets defeated Scottsburg 3-1 with Lilly Role scoring 2 goals and Lucie Asher scoring the other goal. The girls will host Brown County on Thursday starting at 5:30 p.m.
v. Brown County – The Girls Soccer Team scored within the first 30 seconds of the game with a goal by freshman Addyson Russell to take a 1-0 lead on visiting Brown County Thursday night. The Eagles bounced back scoring 4 unanswered goals and winning 4-1. The Jets ended a two-game win streak and will host Rushville on Wednesday with soccer starting at 5:30 p.m.
Boys Soccer
@ Morristown – The Boys Soccer Team traveled to MHC foe Morristown on Tuesday night. Peyton Bennett again was in goal and recorded 12 saves, but the team was defeated 3-0. The Jets will travel to Knightstown on Thursday.
@ Knightstown – The Boys Soccer Team traveled to Knightstown on Thursday for a road match. In sloppy first half the Jets trailed 1-0 and could never get on the board losing 1-0 after a much better second half. Peyton Bennett collected 9 saves in goal and Corbin Beverly collected The Man of the Match award. The Jets will host MHC rival Southwestern on Tuesday with soccer starting at 6 p.m.
Girls Golf
@ Sectional – The Girls Golf Team competed in its very first sectional event ever this past Monday. The Jets were led by Cheyanne Moody 123, followed by Abigayle Trotte 129, Bechah Sessions 133, and Lydia Taylor 140. The team ended it season and was able to see much improvement from the onset of the year to now.
