Terry Lee “TC” Compton entered into eternal rest on April 17, 2025 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus.
Terry had been employed as a Cummins technician. He was a member of the Diesel Workers Union and was a plant EMT. Terry enjoyed watching NASCAR and all other forms of motorsports. Terry is one of the founding fathers of S.N.A.F.U Racing Team, who still races in various forms of motorsports to this day. Terry was a devoted brother, father, grandfather, and uncle.
Terry is survived by brothers, Anthony “Tony” Compton, William Robert “Billy” Compton Jr., both of Columbus, and retired CMSGT (Chief Master Sergeant) Eddie Joe Compton of Newalla, OK. He is survived by a sister Judith “Judy” Mize.
Terry is survived by immediate family retired Army and Marine Corps Corporal William Joseph “Joe” Compton of Taylorsville, daughter April Nichole “Nikki” Compton, and grandsons Aleksander “Alex” Thompson and Cassius “Cash” Thompson, all of Columbus; as well as plenty of nieces and nephews
Terry was preceded in death by his parents William Robert “Bill” Compton Sr. and Leola Mae Compton, as well as a sister Susan Kay Compton Huey.
No services are planned. The family has opted for cremation and a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
