Steven R. Robertson, 75, Columbus

Steven R. Robertson, 75, of Columbus, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Born on December 27, 1949 at home in Columbus, Steve was the son of John W. and Esta Faye Cooper Robertson. He served in the United States Army Reserves. He married Vicki McQueen on October 3, 1969.
Steve was a bus driver for 50 years at Flat Rock- Hawcreek School Corporation. He had previously worked in maintenance at Flat Rock-Hawcreek School Corporation, at Arvins, and at Stokely-Van Camp, Inc. He was a member of St. Louis Crossing Baptist Church and was a Charter Member of Chapel of the Good Shepherd.
Steve enjoyed driving the bus and all Hauser Athletics. He loved spending his time farming.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki of Columbus; children, Tim Robertson of Columbus and Tina Robertson of Hope; grandchildren, Lillyah Jones of Hartsville, Elijah Jones of Michigan, and Amariah Jones of Columbus; siblings, Eva Faye Bennett of Columbus and Jane Paetzel of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews that he was very close with.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leland Robertson; great-grandson, Elliot Goins; step-mother, Beulah Robertson; and mother- and father-in-law, Thomas and Marianna McQueen.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 15 at 11 a.m. at Chapel of the Good Shepherd, 7230 E. 700 N. Hope, IN 47246 with Pastor Doug Sharp officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Louis Crossing Baptist Church or Hauser Athletics.
