Patricia Ann Ollestad, 86, Hope

Patricia Ann Ollestad, 86, of Hope, passed away Saturday December 13, 2025 at Miller’s Merry Manor.
Born September 7, 1939 in New Albany she was the daughter of Carl Parker and Mabel K. Wyatt Parker. She married Harlan Ollestad March 3, 1956 and he preceded her in death August 24, 2016.
Before retirement Patricia was employed as a nurse’s aide at Miller’s Merry Manor.
Patricia had previously attended Newbern United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed going to yard sales, going to restaurants to eat and especially spending time with her family.
A funeral service for Patricia will be held Friday December 19 at 11 a.m. at Norman Funeral Home. It will be officiated by Pastor Wes Jones. Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow service at Bear Creek Cemetery.
Survivors of Patricia include children, John (Denise) Ollestad of Columbus, Roberta (Jeff) Gilpin of Petersville, Rhonda (Gary) Schroeder of Petersville, Carla (Tony) Boaz of Edinburgh, Karen (Jay) Darnell of Columbus and Sharon Ollestad of South Carolina; 13 grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; four brothers and several nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and a sister, Madonna Burton.
In lieu of flowers monetary donations may be donated to Bartholomew County Humane Society.
