Wanda Lee Turner, 82, of Hope, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed from this life at 8:50 a.m. Friday, December 26, 2025 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Hope.
Born August 1, 1943, in Lebanon, Kentucky, the daughter of Ethel Bert and Mary Raley Underwood
Throughout her life, Wanda's commitment to family stood as a testament to the unconditional love she held for her children. She is survived by her loving children, Denise Duncan of Florida, Craig (Gretchen) Turner of Hope, Anita Mellinger of Hope, and Doug (Rhonda) Turner of Columbus; husband, Darrell Ted Turner of Columbus. Wanda's legacy flourishes through her seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. They will forever cherish their countless treasured memories of days spent in Wanda's gentle embrace.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers and two sisters.
A dedicated homemaker and enthusiast of the outdoors. Wanda enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Her joys included camping trips, preparing meals that would gather the whole family.
Wanda's strong faith was an integral part of her life. A faithful attendee of The Ridge.
As we say farewell to an extraordinary woman, we take comfort in the knowledge that her love, wisdom, and the lessons she imparted will remain with us.
A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street.
Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 11 a.m. to time of service.

In keeping with Wanda’s wishes, cremation will take place.
Her cremated remains will be laid to rest at the Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
