The Hope Town Council voted Tuesday evening to continue working with Mainstream Fiber Networks based in Nashville, Ind., to develop a plan to provide fiber broadband to the community of Hope.
According to Town Manager Jason Eckart, the town needs ordinances in place for the work it will take to install the cables -- mainly for street cuts and the possibility of damage to the town infrastructure.
"Having a fiber network in Hope will provide a great option for reliable and very high-speed internet service to this community," Eckart says.
Founded in 2006 by Bryan Gabriel, Mainstream Fiber Networks began as an IT consulting company that has evolved to become a trusted provider of high-speed internet committed to improving connectivity in rural and underserved communities,
"I am excited to work with Mainstream Fiber," Eckart says. "They seem to be a good choice for Hope. Based in Nashville and organized to provide smaller communities a top tier network will help give the town of Hope the same advantage as towns and cities that are much larger in size."
