Brandon Dean Slocum, 45, Hope

Brandon Dean Slocum, 45, of Hope, passed from this life on Monday February 10, 2025 at 6:40 p.m. at his residence.
Brandon was born January 27, 1980 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Karen Lynn Grimes Darnell. He worked many years as a store manager for Marsh Supermarkets in Plainfield. Brandon loved to go fishing, play x-box, shooting guns and being with his friends.
He is survived by his brother, Jared Slocum of Columbus; Dad, Jeff Darnell of Hope and a nephew, Jared Slocum II of Columbus. Brandon was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Darnell and grandparents, Gloria J. Huesman and Oren “Jake”” Grimes.
Visitation will be held on Monday February 24, 2025 from Noon until 2 p.m. at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home followed by a graveside service to be held 2:30 p.m.at Hawcreek Cemetery. Pastor Bryan Trotter will officiate the service at the cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Brandon to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
