*UPDATE* on Juanita’s services. There will be no visitation this evening. Visitation will now be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday with the service starting at 1 p.m.
H. Juanita Crum, 93, of Columbus, passed away on January 2, 2025 at Lutheran Community Home Forest Path in Seymour.
Born on May 29, 1931 in Columbus, Juanita was the daughter of Otto William Imel and Grace Effie Chafin Imel. She married Robert E. Crum on March 5, 1951, and he preceded her in death on February 5, 1994.
Juanita spent most of her life as a homemaker and in previous years, had been employed at Indiana Gas Company and worked in retail.
She was a member of First Christian Church, where she enjoyed volunteering and attending Sunday School. She was also a member of Mill Race Center.
Juanita loved and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include children, Mike (Sue) Crum of Ames, IA, Vicki (Stan) Fields of Seymour, and Becky (Chris) Ogle of Columbus; grandchildren, Kelli (Evan) Adams, Valerie (Daniel) Baute, Adam (Whittney) Loyd, Braden (Ashley) Loyd, Mallory (Casey) Paswater, Travis Crum, and Hayley (Zach) Anderson; great-grandchildren, Noah, Wyatt, Henry, and Mason Adams, Quinn Baute, Nash and Blythe Loyd, Anderson and Vada Loyd, and Cora, Wren, and Perry Paswater.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Rocky Brummett, Hyder Brummett, Herschel Imel, Warren Imel, and Don Imel.
A funeral service will be held for Juanita on Tuesday, January 7 at 1 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home with Chris Ogle officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer’s Association or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
