By Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home

Jason Eric Baldwin, 49, of Columbus, passed from this life at 8:35 a.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at his home. Jason was born May 5, 1975 in Red Bank, New Jersey. He was the son of Connie McKinney Baldwin of Columbus and Jonathan Baldwin of Indianapolis.

Jason is survived by his mother, Connie Baldwin; brother, Joshua (Kelly) Baldwin of Charlottesville, Indiana; uncle, Roger McKinney of Columbus and aunt, Linda Hacker of Seymour.

Jason was a gifted and talented creative graphic designer, marketing director and photographer and most proud of his accomplishments at Hunt Construction in Indianapolis helping build Lucas Oil Stadium. He was humbled with the time he spent with the Lakota Indians to make textbooks for the Lakota children to learn to read. He loved music and could be heard singing all hours of the day and night and was on the Twangfest board for many years. Jason loved and cared about his family and friends and would do anything for them, because they were “his people”.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Alice Mae McKinney and great-grandmother, Christena Welmer, whom he loved dearly.

Please honor his life with a memorial made to CASA of Jefferson County; 319 W. 2nd Street, Madison, Indiana 47250. Jason always wanted to help make a difference.

A celebration of life will be held at the Willard, a Franklin College favorite, at a later date.

A private graveside service will be held at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Arrangements by Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home.
