Deanna Dawn Grider, 53, of Greensburg, passed away at 9:43 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2025.
She was born on August 3, 1971 in Shelbyville, the daughter of Leo E. Harris and Dorothea Jean (Carr) Harris.
She was a resident of Decatur County the majority of her life. She attended South Decatur High School and earned an accounting certificate from Indiana Business College. She was employed at Dollar General in Greensburg for 5 years as a fulltime lead associate.
Deanna enjoyed crafting, making blankets, puzzles and helping people.
She is survived by her mother, Dorothea Harris of Greensburg; her son, Jonathon Paul (Brianna) Grider, Jr. of Hope; her brothers, Danny Harris of Columbus, Donny (Mary) Harris of Morgantown and Josh Harris of North Vernon and 6 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leo E. Harris and her daughter, Victoria Renee Johnson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Bass Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Pastor Jeffrey Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Westport Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1 from 12 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
