Tips & Pediatric Health Guidance from Dr. Radovanović
1. School Readiness Checkups
Schedule wellchild visits early before school starts. These appointments are great opportunities for sports physicals, immunizations, vision and hearing screening, and updating growth and developmental milestones.

2. Immunizations
Ensure your child is up to date on routine vaccines, including the seasonal flu shot. Dr. Radovanović emphasizes that vaccines help keep children and their classmates healthy.

3. Routine Health Maintenance
Keep up with annual wellchild visits—even when your child seems healthy. These visits track growth, behavior, mental health, and nutrition, and address emerging concerns like anxiety, sleep issues, or attention difficulties.

4. Healthy Eating & Sleep Habits
Encourage plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. Limit sugary drinks and
snacks. Maintain consistent bedtime routines—adequate sleep supports attention, mood, and
immunity.

5. Mental & Social Health
Returning to school can spark excitement and stress. Dr. Radovanović recommends regular conversations with your child about their feelings. Encourage friendships, limit screen time, and model coping strategies for anxiety or worry.

6. HandWashing &Germ Protection
Teach children proper handwashing techniques, especially before snacks and after recess. Promote covering coughs and sneezes. These habits help reduce common winter colds and seasonal illnesses.
