Congratulations to Hauser student Erica Harker who recently won Best in Show during an awards ceremony at the Mabel B. Annis Brown County Student Art Competition on Sunday, March 9 at the Brown County Art Gallery in Nashville, Ind.

Harker’s winning 2Dimensional Pointillism drawing, which was created at Hauser, also won her $250 and recognition from the competition’s judge, artist Jeff Klinker.

The nearly 30-year-old competition is open to all students in Brown and a half dozen surrounding counties. Funded by The Annis Memorial Trust, based in Brown County, the competition is intended to provide gifted students with an opportunity to show off their artistic talents while competing for prize money with the opportunity to sell their work in a professional gallery milieu.
