Game Report for Week 05/12: Track & Field, Baseball, Softball, Tennis and Golf

Boys’ and Girls’ Track and Field
@ Brownstown Central / Indian Creek – The varsity girls and boys track and field teams placed third at Tuesday’s four-way meet at Brownstown Central. Addyson Russell took first place in the 100-meter dash (12.9), 200-meter dash (26.6) and long jump (16′ 3/4″), improving her own school record in the 200 and tying the existing school record in the 100. The boys were led by second-place finishes in field events by Graydon Kilps in high jump (5′ 2″), Nick Mann in long jump (17′ 5.5″) and Luke Bruner in shot put (46′ 3″). The Jets will travel to Hagerstown Invite on Friday Night.

@ Hagerstown Invite – The girls and boys track and field teams traveled to Hagerstown Friday evening for the Tiger Booster Invitational, where the boys placed sixth and the girls placed eighth of fourteen teams.

Addsyon Russell improved on her new school record in the 100-meter dash, placing second with a fully-automatic time of 13.11. The freshman also took second in long jump (14′ 10 1/2″) and third in the 200 (27.46). The 4×800 relay team of Abigayle Trotter, Kaidenze Shoaf, Katherine Price, and Kennedy Konradi finished in third place with a time of 11:40.30.

Nolan Dailey was the runner-up in both the 1600 (4:47.13) and the 3200 (9:59.47). Braydon McFarland took second in the 200 (23.97) and eighth in the 100 (11.96) and anchored the sixth- place 4×100 and fourth-place 4×400 relay teams.

The Jets will compete in the Mid-Hoosier Conference meet at Waldron on Tuesday.

Baseball
@ Eastern Hancock – The Baseball Team traveled to Eastern Hancock Wednesday and won 8-2 with a big inning in the top of the seventh. The Jets scored five in the top half of the seventh to blow open a 3-2 game. Wasil and Gill combined to toss a three-hitter striking out 12 and walking three. Foster produced three hits, while K. Blair and Stuckey both had multiple hits. The Jets moved to 10-3 on the year and will travel to Oldenburg Academy on Saturday.

@ Oldenburg Academy – The Baseball Tam traveled to Oldenburg Academy on Saturday to end its week. The Jets again used a big top half of the sixth inning scoring three and the go ahead run in the top of the seventh to grab a victory 4-3. Bennett started the game tossing three innings and scattering four hits and walking three, while striking out four. Pittman pitched two and a third in relief scattering two hits, striking out four and walking seven. Foster finished the game pitching one inning and two thirds giving up one hit and striking out two. Wasil and Pittman both had multiple hits for the Jets and Wasil produced two RBI’s. The Jets are now 11-3 and will host Shelbyville on Monday.

Softball
v. Rushville – The Softball Jets rallied to defeat Rushville on Monday Night after trailing 3-0 after two innings. Haven Hartwell picked up the pitching win, while Katie Robinson doubled in the bottom of the seventh to score two runs and end the game. The Jets will host Greensburg on Tuesday.

v. Greensburg – The Jets hosted a good Greensburg team on Tuesday and was defeated. The Jets couldn’t overcome the Pirates good pitching. The Jets will travel to Milan on Thursday.

@ Milan – Canceled

Girls’ Tennis
@ Waldron – The Girls Tennis Team traveled to Waldron on Monday night and was defeated 4-1. The number two doubles of Maley Jordan and June Berkenstock won 6-2, 6-2. The Jets continue a very busy week as they host Triton Central on Tuesday.

v. Triton Central – The Girls Tennis Team hosted Triton Central on Tuesday night and was defeated 5-0. The number one doubles team of Abby Manley and Kaycee Ridgley did win two games in set one, but dropped the match 2-6, 0-6. The Jets will host MHC foe Morristown on Thursday.

v. Morristown – Canceled

@ Connersville Invite – The Girls Tennis Team traveled to the Connersville Invite on Saturday finishing in 3rd place. The Jets were defeated 4-1 vs. Lapel with number three singles player Kaydenze Brock winning 6-3, 6-1. The Jets defeated Blackford 4-1 with number two singles Isabella Price winning 4-6, 6-2, 10-5 in a tiebreaker, three singles Kaydenze Brock winning 6-2, 6-2, Number one doubles Abby Manley and Kaycee Ridgley winning 3-6, 6-2, 10-6 in a tiebreaker, and number two doubles June Berkenstock and Maley Jordan winning 6-1, 6-0. The Jets will make-up the Morristown match on Monday.

Girls’ Jr. High Tennis
v. Madison – Hauser junior high girls tennis team defeated Madison 4-1 on Monday 5/5/25, 5-0 for season. Singles players Sophia Crabtree, Hayden Dickey and Lylah Konradi remain unbeaten. Sophie and Hayden won 8-0, Lylah won 8-2. In doubles action, Stella Berkenstock and Riley Diewert won a close match 9-7 at 1 doubles. Lily Galloway and Emma Long got down early and were unable to recover losing 3-8 at 2 doubles. JV doubles win by Zaylie Gonsior/Lylah Konradi, 6-3.

v. Jennings County – The Hauser junior high girls tennis team won another match tonight 4-1 to Jennings County. Last year they were one of the 2 teams we lost to so that was a great win! Wins were at #1 singles Sophia Crabtree 8-0, #2 singles Hayden Dickey 8-0, #3 singles Lylah Konradi 8-6. #1 doubles Stella Berkenstock/ Riley Deiwert won 8-6. #2 doubles Emma Long/Lily Galloway went to a tiebreaker at 8-8 and came up a little short but they did a great job! Record is now 6-0 for the season.

@ Waldron – The Hauser girls junior high tennis team won a very close match Friday night at Waldron 3-2 to remain undefeated at 7-0. #1 singles Sophia Crabtree won 8-0 and Hayden Dickey won 8-3. Lylah Konradi was down 4-7 and won 3 straight games to go to a tiebreaker at 7-7 and won the match 7-3 in a tiebreaker. All 3 singles players remain undefeated on the season. #2 doubles duo of Lilly Galloway and Kamryn Yarnell also went to a tiebreaker but came up a little short. They had a great middle school team so it was a great win. Also, JV wins by Mya Achors and Breanna McClain.

Boys’ Golf
@ Trinity Lutheran / Jennings County – The Jets traveled back to Trinity Lutheran for a tri-way match with Trinity Lutheran and Jennings County. The Jets scored 202 as a team and finished third place. Jennings County fired a 159 and Trinity Lutheran shot a 195. Hunter Pappano shot a 41, Brenden Burton shot a 52, while Colten Hatton shot a 54 for the Jets. Marshall Moody shot a 55, and Nathan Linke fired a 67 to round out the scoring for the Jets. Hauser will travel to Perry Meridian on Wednesday.

IHSAA 2nd Mandatory Moratorium Week
Beginning 2025-26 school year, each member school shall also designate five additional separate weekdays in which there shall be no contact between athletes, coaches, and no athletic activities, including conditioning, conducted.
