Game Report for Week 10/27: Cross Country

XC Team Runs at Regional, Dailey Moves on to State

Hauser's cross-country runners had a successful showing at the Evansville Mater Dei Regional this past Saturday. Senior Nolan Dailey earned a return to State, and the rest of the team wrapped up a historic season with strong performances on the Angel Mounds course.

Dailey took sixteenth place with a new personal best of 15:47.85 to punch his ticket to the state finals for a second straight year.

Jace Wright finished in 38th place, coming up just six spots short of individual advancement. The freshman's time of 16:20.88 for 5K catapults him to fourth all-time in Hauser program history.

Max Moore came in 125th with a with a time of 17:40.82. Braydon McFarland improved his personal best to 18:14.46 and placed 166th, with teammate Mason Moore close behind him at 18:19.74 for 175th place. Rounding out the Jets' seven were Grady Niccum (19:52.6, 232rd) and Mason Johnson (19:55.3, 236th)

Hauser placed fifteenth out of twenty-five schools in the Jets' first team appearance at Regional since 2009.

The State Finals will be held this Saturday at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, with the boys’ race at 12 p.m.
