Glenna Lou Busby (Parish), 83, Hope

By Norman Funeral Home

Glenna Lou Busby (Parish), born April 21, 1942, in Waupaca, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully surrounded by the familiarity of a place she dedicated so much of her life to—Millers Merry Manor in Hope, Indiana.

Glenna lived a life rooted in devotion—to her family, her faith, and her calling as a nurse. She spent the majority of her career at Millers Merry Manor, where she compassionately cared for others and ultimately spent her final days, a full-circle testament to her life of service.

She was the beloved wife of Stanley Busby Sr., with whom she shared 55 years of marriage until his passing in 2014. Together, they built a family grounded in love, resilience, and faith.

Glenna was a proud and loving mother to her three sons; late Stanley Busby Jr. (father of Nikki, Ean, Skyler, Michael, and Leah), late Joseph Busby (father of late Adam and Casey), and Edward Busby (father of Allan). Her spirit continues through her children and grandchildren, who carry forward her strength and warmth. She held the role of a great-grandmother to the youngest members of her family tree with an epic sense of joyous pride. Glenna was the second eldest of her siblings; Tat, late Clifford “Butch”, Karen, and Mary Lou, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories and enduring bonds. She was proceeded in death by her father; Clarence Maxwell Parish, and mother Lucille Stella Parish.

She had a deep love for animals, cherishing her dogs and cats almost as fiercely as she loved her family. Above all, Glenna’s greatest love was her faith in God, which guided her life and brought her peace and purpose.

Glenna will be remembered for her quiet strength, her loud singing, her nurturing spirit, her speed reading, her artistic sewing, her meticulous crafting, and her unwavering devotion to those she loved. Her presence leaves a lasting imprint on all who knew her.
