Change of season is a beautiful thing and this year’s Hauser Prom is embracing that beauty with its “Sunrise Sunset” theme Saturday evening as they dance the evening away at Cedar Spring Farms just outside of Hope.
While expressing her excitement for the upcoming evening, event co-sponsor Brandy Konradi spoke to the beauty of the chosen theme.
“We’re especially glad to host it at Cedar Spring Farms,” Konradi says. “A wonderful, new local venue owned by Hauser graduates.”
It makes the evening feel even more special to celebrate in a place with such a strong local connection, she adds.
As implied by the theme, the evening’s ambiance will be an experiential representation of all the feels associated with an ending that gives way to a new beginning.
It’s a transition and feeling the students experience in the Now.
“Sunrise stands for everything ahead of us,” says Addison Dailey, junior class president. “And sunset reflects all the memories we’ve made. Prom kind of sits right in between those two moments, so it felt like the perfect theme.”
It also makes for a beautiful backdrop of colors and lighting making it all the more special, Dailey adds.
After prom will follow at the Hauser Fieldhouse from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m., Konradi says.
Konradi expressed her immense appreciation for all the parents who donated the literally thousands of dollars in prizes for after prom-goers to win throughout the beach-themed evening playing a range of games reminiscent of a bustling boardwalk.
Complete with a coffee bar donated by Starbucks and the numerous games, attendees will have the chance to make and commemorate remarkable memories, Konradi says.
The best part of helping to make this prom possible has been watching everything come together, she adds.
Konradi commends the junior prom class committee on the outstanding job they’ve done working together to make the night special.
“From small ideas to something truly memorable and knowing it’s all for a night these students will carry with them for years,” Konradi says. “Our hope is that everyone feels included, lets go of stress, and just enjoys the moment because this night is really about celebrating who we are, together. Once a Jet always a Jet!”
