Hauser Sweeps Waldron in MHC Games
The Hauser softball team picked up a big Mid-Hoosier Conference sweep over Waldron, winning both games in convincing fashion.
With the victories, the Jets improve to 6–7 overall and 5–3 in conference play. Hauser controlled both games from the start, using strong hitting and solid defense to overpower Waldron.
The Jets’ offense came alive across the doubleheader, consistently putting pressure on Waldron’s defense while limiting opportunities on the other side.
Hauser will look to keep the momentum going as they travel to Rushville on Tuesday for their next matchup.
Baseball
Hauser Defeated by Greensburg in High Scoring Game
The Hauser Jets and Greensburg Pirates delivered a high-scoring, back-and-forth battle Tuesday night, with the Pirates rallying for a 16–13 victory at home on April 21, 2026.
Hauser came out swinging early, plating four runs in the first inning and adding two more in the second to take a quick 6–0 lead. R Foster set the tone with a dominant performance at the plate, finishing 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBIs. S Gill also made a major impact, going 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs.
Greensburg responded in the second inning with five runs to cut the deficit, but Hauser answered again with a four-run third inning to extend its lead to 10–5. K Blair added a home run and drove in two, while S Myers collected three hits in the effort.
The game turned dramatically in the bottom of the fourth inning. Trailing 12–5, Greensburg erupted for 10 runs in a decisive rally, capitalizing on walks and defensive miscues. E Smith led the surge with two hits, four RBIs, and two stolen bases, while L Meyer added two hits and four RBIs of his own. P Robbins contributed both at the plate and on the mound, later earning the win after pitching four solid innings in relief.
Hauser continued to battle, finishing with 14 hits on the night, including doubles from multiple players and home runs from Foster, Gill, and Blair. However, six defensive errors proved costly, allowing Greensburg to take advantage of extra opportunities.
On the mound, Hauser used four pitchers, combining for 10 walks while allowing 11 hits.
Greensburg’s pitching staff also faced challenges early, but Robbins stabilized the game late, limiting Hauser to just one run over the final four innings.
Despite outhitting Greensburg 14–11, Hauser couldn’t overcome the Pirates’ explosive fourth inning and disciplined plate approach, which produced 10 walks and consistent pressure on the base paths.
The loss drops Hauser after a strong offensive showing, while Greensburg secures a comeback victory fueled by timely hitting and resilience.
Hauser Jets Dominate Waldron 9–1
The Hauser Jets put together a strong all-around performance Thursday, April 23, cruising to a 9–1 victory over the Waldron Mohawks on the road.
Hauser wasted no time getting on the board, scoring in the first inning and steadily building their lead throughout the game. A big seventh inning, where the Jets plated four runs, helped seal the win.
Leading the offensive charge was R. Foster, who went 2-for-3 with 3 runs scored and an RBI. S.
Gill added a big day at the plate as well, going 1-for-3 with 2 runs scored and 3 RBIs, including a home run. K. Blair contributed with a 1-for-4 performance, driving in a run and adding a double.
J. Oliver and J. Sargent each chipped in hits, while the Jets showed patience at the plate and timely hitting to finish with 9 runs on 6 hits.
On the mound, K. Blair was dominant. The right-hander threw a complete game, allowing just 3 hits and 1 run while striking out 11 batters. He kept Waldron off balance all night and didn’t allow a run after the opening inning.
Waldron managed only one run in the first inning and struggled to generate offense the rest of the game. J. Kuhn took the loss despite striking out nine hitters.
Defensively, Hauser played a clean game behind Blair, helping secure the team’s strong road win.
Boys’ Golf
Hauser Boys’ Golf Edges Batesville 178–185
The Hauser Boys’ Golf team earned a solid team victory, defeating Batesville 178–185 in a competitive match.
Leading the way for Hauser was Kash Baker, who captured medalist honors with an impressive round of 42. Close behind was Bill Miller with a 44, while Gavin Bain added a strong 45 to help secure the team score. Keegan Humphrey rounded out the scoring four with a 47, giving Hauser the edge.
Dane Richards posted a 59 for the Jets.
