A memorial service honoring the late Senator Robert Garton’s life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, August 30 at the Mill Race Center, located at 900 Lindsey St. in Columbus.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until time of service Sunday at the Center.

Military honors recognizing Garton’s service in the United States Marine Corps will be presented by the United States Marine Corps Ceremonial Unit and the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.

In keeping with the family’s request, cremation has taken place.
