Downtown Hope is feeling good vibes as it's set to welcome a new java hangout spot when Court and Brew opens its doors at 6:30 a.m. Friday.

Owned and operated by Adam and Christina Bain, the freshly remodeled location at 622 Main St. offers a sleek, modern touch to the coffee experience while also embracing the beauty of downtown Hope with its outdoor on-street seating option.

In addition to fresh, caffeinated brews of delightful iced and hot variations, the sky’s the limit when it comes to the flavorful coffee and dirty drink possibilities.

It’s not just about the drinks as the shop also stocks locally-made baked goods from The Sourdough Shack, founded by Martin Hall and Brandy Stearns.

“I had an iced lavender honey latte and a blueberry muffin with lemon glaze,” says HSJ Online contributor Jessica Deckard, who recently attended the shop's recent VIP soft opening. “It was delicious, and the oats on top meant it’s healthy, right?!”

As for the java? Deckard verdict is her choice wasn’t too bitter and not too overly syrupy sweet. Totally Goldilocks, it was just right. 

“You can tell the drinks were made with real, freshly brewed coffee,” she says. “And no bottled premix either.”

Deckard adds that the hoppin' location has certainly changed since its days as Billy Steinbarger’s Oasis liquor store.

“I especially like the electronic charging station on the back wall,” Deckard says. “It gives students and visitors a place to charge their electronics while they enjoy a beverage or dirty soda."

And though tech is great, there's nothing like the community that is characteristic of Hope. 

"I enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere," says Deckard, who was one of many select community members who were invited to see and experience the new space.
