Boys’ Basketball

Varsity vs. Shawe Memorial
On Thursday evening, the Jets hosted sectional 60 opponent Shawe Memorial and came away with a commanding victory by a score of 80-43. Efficient teamwork led the way for the Hauser offense, as the Jets posted 27 assists on the night to only 5 turnovers with 7 Jet’s scoring 6+ points.

Prior to the game, senior Stryker Gill was recognized for his recent achievement of surpassing the 500-career assist mark. Congratulations, Stryker!

JV vs. Shawe Memorial
The JV Jets took care of business on Thursday evening, defeating Shawe by a score of 49-12.

Varsity vs. Indianapolis Lutheran
Saturday was Homecoming in the Jet Hangar, and a great Hauser crowd was on hand to witness a rematch of last year’s 1A South Regional championship. Indy Lutheran held control of the game early with some tough shot making, leading 15-8 after the first quarter and hanging on to a 6-point lead heading into the halftime break. However, it was all Hauser in the 2nd half, outscoring the Saints by 20 points in the 3rd and 4th quarters en route to a 53-39 victory. In a physical battle, the Jets made it to the free throw line 39 times, connecting on 29 of those attempts including 10-12 in the 4th quarter to secure the win.

The win on Saturday moved the Varsity record to 11-2 on the season!

JV vs. Indianapolis Lutheran
The JV Jets set the tone on Saturday night with a great win over Indy Lutheran, 52-38. The win improves the JV record to 9-1 on the year!

Boys’ Basketball C-Team
The Boys’ C-Team defeated Lawrenceburg and Columbus North this past week and moved to 8- 1 on the year. The team will host Indian Creek on Tuesday and travel to Greensburg on

Thursday both starting at 6 p.m.

Girls’ Basketball
@ Jac-Cen-Del

The Lady Jets traveled to Jac-Cen-Del on Friday and was defeated 63-52 and moved to 11-8 on the year. Ava Dempsey connected on four three’s and hit a free throw to lead the way with 13 points. Braelyn Williams had 10 points, Abby Manley added 9 points, Kennedy Konradi scored 7 points, Leah Manley scored 6 points, Hayden Dickey had 5 points, and Peyton Norris rounded out the scoring with 2 points. Kennedy and Hayden both recorded 8 rebounds and Kennedy had 6 steals. Abby Manley had 5 assists to lead the Jets. Jac-Cen-Del made a living at the free throw line going 21 of 23. The JV Jets defeated Jac-Cen-Del and moved to 16-1 on the year. The Jets will host MHC foe Morristown on Thursday for senior celebration starting at 6 p.m.

7th / 8th Grade Boys’ Basketball
v. Waldron
Jets Dominate Waldron, 47–13

The Jets delivered a commanding performance on both ends of the court, rolling past Waldron with a decisive 47–13 victory. From the opening tip, the Jets set the tone with suffocating defense and efficient scoring, never allowing Waldron to find any rhythm.

Noble led the offensive attack with 12 points, shooting 4-of-9 from the field and knocking down two three-pointers. Noble also contributed on the glass, pulling down five rebounds. Blankinship matched Noble with 12 points of his own, connecting on 5-of-8 shots while leading the team with seven rebounds.

Leonard put together one of the most complete performances of the game, finishing with 11 points on 5-of-10 shooting. Leonard was a force all over the floor, adding five rebounds, six assists, and an impressive five blocks to anchor the Jets’ defense.

The Jets received additional contributions throughout the lineup. Wiwi scored six points, while Hamilton and Oliver each added three. The balanced scoring and relentless defensive pressure kept Waldron off the scoreboard and showcased the Jets’ depth.

@ Indian Creek
Jets Lock Down Indian Creek for 49–39 Road Win

The Jets earned a hard-fought 49–39 victory on the road at Indian Creek, using balanced scoring and a dominant third-quarter defensive effort to take control of the game. After a tightly contested first half, the Jets turned up the intensity coming out of the locker room and never looked back.

Defense was the difference in the third quarter, as the Jets clamped down and limited Indian Creek’s scoring while creating momentum on both ends of the floor. That surge proved to be the turning point, giving the Jets the separation, they needed to secure the win.

Leonard led the Jets with 13 points, setting the tone offensively. Wiwi followed closely with 12 points, while Blankinship added 10 to give the Jets three players in double figures. Noble and Hege each contributed six points, and Hamilton rounded out the scoring with two.

The Jets also received a big boost from the bench, with great minutes and high energy throughout the game. Kolton Grimes stood out in particular, providing a spark that helped fuel the Jets during key stretches.

With balanced scoring, strong bench play, and a lockdown third-quarter defensive performance, the Jets picked up an impressive 49–39 win at Indian Creek.

Jets Come Up Short in 33–31 Loss at JCD

The Jets battled until the final buzzer but ultimately fell just short in a 33–31 loss on the road at JCD. A slow start put the Jets in an early hole, but their resilience and fight kept the game within reach throughout.

After struggling out of the gate, the Jets found their rhythm in the third quarter, coming out with renewed fire and energy. That surge allowed them to quickly cut into JCD’s lead and force a timeout, shifting momentum and setting up a tightly contested finish.

The fourth quarter turned into a back-and-forth battle, with the Jets either tying the game or taking the lead on four different occasions. Despite multiple chances down the stretch, the Jets were unable to land the final blow and came up just two points shy.

Wiwi led the Jets with 10 points, while Blankinship added seven. Leonard finished with five, Hamilton contributed four, and Noble and Hege chipped in three and two points respectively.

Though the result didn’t go their way, the Jets showed toughness and determination, fighting until the end in a close loss at JCD.

7th / 8th Grade Girls’ Basketball
@ Southwestern

Girls 8th Grade Jets Defeat Southwestern, 34–21

The Girls 8th Grade Jets earned a strong 34–21 victory over Southwestern, putting together a balanced offensive effort and solid team defense to secure the win.

Diedrich led the Jets with 12 points, consistently finding scoring opportunities and setting the pace on offense. Baker and Hartwell each added eight points, providing key contributions and keeping pressure on Southwestern throughout the game. Gernentz rounded out the scoring with six points, helping the Jets maintain control down the stretch.

The Jets’ teamwork and defensive intensity limited Southwestern’s chances and allowed them to build and protect their lead. With contributions up and down the lineup, the Girls 8th Grade Jets turned in an impressive performance in the 34–21 win.

v. Brown County
8th Grade Girls Improve to 2–0 with 37–20 Win Over Brown County

The 8th Grade Girls Jets continued their strong start to the season, improving to 2–0 with a convincing 37–20 victory over Brown County.

Diedrich led the way with a game-high 14 points, setting the tone offensively and keeping constant pressure on the defense. Hartwell was close behind with 13 points, giving the Jets a powerful one-two scoring punch. Gernentz and Madden each added four points, while Sipes chipped in two to round out the scoring.

The Jets’ balanced offense and solid team defense proved to be the difference, as they controlled the tempo and limited Brown County’s scoring opportunities. With another complete team effort, the 8th Grade Girls Jets showed continued growth and momentum in their 37–20 win.

@ Snow Bird Classic
Snow Bird Tournament: Jets Split Day One, Move to 3–1

The Jets opened play at the Snow Bird Tournament with a strong showing, earning a convincing 36–17 win over Rising Sun in game one before dropping a hard-fought 33–27 decision to New Washington in game two. The split moves the Jets to 3–1 on the season.

In the opening game, the Jets controlled the tempo from start to finish, using balanced scoring and tough defense to pull away from Rising Sun. Gernentz led the way with 12 points, while Baker added seven. Diedrich chipped in six points, and Hartwell and Wright each scored four. Turner rounded out the scoring with three points as the Jets cruised to the 36–17 victory.

Game two was a much tighter contest against New Washington. The Jets battled throughout but came up just short in the 33–27 loss. Hartwell paced the offense with 10 points, followed by Baker with eight and Diedrich with six. Gernentz added three points in the setback.

Despite the loss in game two, the Jets showed strong effort and depth across both games, leaving day one of the SnowBird Tournament with a 3–1 record on the season.
