Deborah "Debbie" Ann Knapp, 69, Hope

Deborah “Debbie” Ann Knapp, 69, of Hope, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Born on September 18, 1956 in Marion County, Debbie was the daughter of Newton and Carolyn Mann Hodge. She married Dennis Knapp on November 29, 1975.
Before retirement, Debbie had been employed as a dietary aide at Miller’s Merry Manor in Hope for over 20 years. Recently she enjoyed keeping the pool area clean at Ceraland Park while staying at the campgrounds with her husband.
Debbie was known as an avid walker and routinely walked in Hope. She enjoyed tanning and flower gardening. She loved collecting knick-knacks and had a large collection of movies. Debbie faithfully read the Bible, completing its entirety multiple times.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis; children, Adam (Danielle) Knapp of San Marcos, TX and Holly (Kenny) Campbell of Hope; grandchildren, Susannah and Rebekah Knapp of San Marcos, TX, Anniston, Elijah, Sky, and Isaiah Riley, and Landrey and Kohen Campbell, all of Hope; siblings, Diana Hodge of Indianapolis and Karen (Scott) Hardwick of Indianapolis; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Rhyder Campbell; sister, Kathy Bonforth; father-in-law, Clarence Knapp; and mother-in-law, Gladys Imogene Knapp.
A funeral service for Debbie will be held on Monday, July 20 at 6 p.m. at Norman Funeral Home with Robert Langdon officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
