The Hope Town Square is the place to be for car enthusiasts starting at 5 p.m. Friday as the First Friday’s Cruise-in to Hope returns with an eclectic group of slick and vintage rides and a rockin’ sound.

Last month’s event welcomed 78 cars and brought in $995 for the local Cub Scout Pack #543, says Town Manager and event organizer Jason Eckart.

There is a $10 parking donation ask for each participating vehicle.

“This month we are supporting the Bartholomew County Public Library and their summer reading program,” Eckart says. “We’re hoping for a big event.”

Playing the event will be local band favorite Dirty Laundry, Eckart adds.

 “We appreciate everyone who attends these events,” Eckart says. “The effect of the donations goes directly to support this small, but resilient community.”
