Hauser Volleyball Falls to North Decatur in Four Sets
The Hauser Jets dropped a four-set match to North Decatur on Tuesday in MHC match, falling 16-10 overall and 4-2 in conference play.
Hauser came out strong in the opening set, earning a 25-16 victory. North Decatur answered by taking the next three sets, 25-19, 25-12 and 25-15, to take the match.
Leading the Jets offensively was Shoaf with 10 kills, followed by Hartwell with 7 and Baker with 4. Manley paced the offense with 26 assists, while Dickey added 2 assists, with Baker and Norris each recording 1.
At the net, Hartwell and Miller each recorded 3 blocks.
Defensively, Dickey led Hauser with 13 digs, followed by Beck with 9 and Shoaf with 8.
The Hauser JV team also battled North Decatur, falling 25-18, 14-25, 13-15 in a competitive three-set match.
v. Rushville
Hauser Volleyball Sweeps Rushville
The Hauser Jets picked up a strong three-set victory over Rushville, winning 25-20, 25-16 and 25-13 in varsity action. Hauser controlled the match from the start, putting together a consistent offensive attack while continuing to pressure Rushville throughout all three sets.

Leading the Jets offensively, Shoaf and Baker each recorded 8 kills, followed by Hartwell and Maguire with 6 kills apiece. Manley directed the Hauser offense with 25 assists, while Dickey added 3 and Orso contributed 2. At the service line, Manley led the way with 6 aces, followed by Shoaf with 4 and Maguire with 1. Maguire paced the Jets at the net with 3 blocks, while Shoaf, Baker and Hartwell each added 1. Defensively, Dickey led Hauser with 22 digs, followed by Baker with 7 and McKinney with 4.
The Hauser JV squad also battled its way to a three-set victory over Rushville, winning 25-15, 24-26 and 15-7.

The Boys ended the season on Thursday night with a sectional loss to Columbus East. Congrats to the team and coaches on another great year highlighted by a 4-1 MHC Record and finishing Runner-Up at the MHC Tournament.

v. Providence Cristo Rey
The Lady Jets defeated Providence Cristo Rey 6-1 Monday night. The girls have been working SO hard all season long for this victory. Both teams displayed great energy, had smiles, and had great sportsmanship.

Boys Soccer
v. Central Christian Academy
The Jets (11-3-2) finished the regular season off with a win 2-0 against Central Christian Academy. Camden Grimes scored a goal off an assist by Landon Pendleton. Then Landon scored on an assist by Phillipe Douce. Luke Raisor collected 4 saves. Landon Pendleton was named the “Man of the Match” for being involved with both scores. The Jets received a bye in the first round of the Southwestern sectionals and will play on Thursday, October 8 at 7:30 p.m. Hope to see you all there.

Varsity Cross Country Competes at Greensburg
The varsity cross country team took fifth of twelve scoring teams at Thursday’s Greensburg Invitational. The meet was won by Lawrence North, led by a dominating performance by the Wildcats’ Xavier Little.
Jace Wright cruised to 3rd place out of 159 runners with a time of 17:32.7.
Max Moore was 26th in 18:39.0, and Braydon McFarland finished in 18:46.4 for a 28th-place finish. Nevin Noble’s time of 19:06.3 was good for 34th. Kevin Heindel rounded out the Jets’ scoring five with 68th-place finish in 20:23.3. Grady Niccum (20:43.8) came in 76th, Mason Johnson (21:28.5) took 87th, and Evan Tibbs (25:38.1) was 143rd.
@ Nike Twilight
Nike XC Town Twilight
The cross country team raced under the lights Saturday night at the Nike XC Town Twilight meet, held at the Lavern Gibson course in Terre Haute.
The varsity squad placed 22nd of 40 teams in the Green (Open) Race #2.
Jace Wright was among the top finishers, placing 9th of 329 runners with a time of 16:38.8.
Max Moore crossed the line in 18:17.5 for 141st place, with teammate Nevin Noble right behind at 18:18.8 for 143rd, and Braydon McFarland coming in at 18:28.1 for 158th. Mason Johnson (19:28.5) and Kevin Heindel (19:44.8) both ran strong races, finishing 220th and 241st. Grady Niccum posted a season-best of 19:56.4 to place 250th, and Evan Tibbs ran a time of 22:14.8 for 303rd place.
Earlier in the day at Lavern Gibson, Hauser eighth-grader Matthew Moore made his mark at the Indiana Middle School State Championship, taking individual runner-up to Corydon Central’s Avi Combs in the Small School race. Moore’s time of 9:55.9 for the 3K represented a new personal best.
The Jets will compete in the M.H.C. Championship this Saturday before preparing for the sectional meet on Saturday, October 17. Both meets will be held at Eagle Park in Brown County.
