Spooky family fun returns to the Hope Town Square this Friday when the community’s favorite annual fall and Halloween-themed festival Goodies, Goblins, and Ghost Stories welcomes all characters and creatures of the season from 5 to 8 p.m.

“There will be lots of activities for families,” says Event Coordinator Dave Miller. “And with the support of the Town of Hope, it's all free of charge.”

Everyone is invited to come in costume, but disguise is not required, Miller adds.

Happening throughout the evening will be pumpkin painting, s’mores and a campfire, hay wagon rides, and an array of games and crafts. Simultaneously, the Yellow Trail Museum is hosting a haunted Night at the Museum with frightening tales from a cast of creepy characters and the Hope Masonic Lodge is giving away FREE hot dog meals for kids, Miller adds.

There’ll be Trunk or Treat on the south side of the Square. Those who would like to participate need to have their vehicles in place by 4:45 p.m. AT THE LATEST.

“It’s a fun evening and a nice tradition for the town,” Miller says. “We hope to see you there!”

*Anyone who is interested in volunteering or participating in Trunk or Treat should contact Dave Miller, event coordinator, via the Hope Branch Library.

“Volunteers are always needed for Goodies, Goblins, and Ghost Stories,” he says. “And it's a fun way to help!”
