Hauser Volleyball Battles Past Southwestern in Five Sets
The Hauser Jets battled through five sets Wednesday night, defeating Southwestern 3-2 in a thrilling match.

Hauser opened the night with a 25-18 victory before Southwestern answered with a 25-22 win in the second set. The Jets regained the momentum with a 25-17 third-set victory, but Southwestern forced a decisive fifth set by taking the fourth, 25-23.

In the fifth set, Hauser came through when it mattered most, earning a 15-13 victory to seal the match.

Baker led the Jets offensively with 15 kills, while Shoaf added 11 and Hartwell finished with 10. Setter Manley had an outstanding night running the offense, recording 44 assists.

Defensively, Dickey anchored the Jets with an impressive 37 digs while also serving up a team- high 10 aces. Manley added five aces, while Orso finished with two.

Hauser also received contributions at the net, with Hartwell and Baker each recording a block. Shoaf added 12 digs, while Manley finished with 11.

The Hauser JV squad also picked up a straight-set victory, defeating Southwestern 25-21, 25-19.

The Jets showed plenty of resilience throughout the five-set battle, finding a way to close out the decisive set and come away with a hard-fought victory.

@ Indian Creek
Game 8- A 0-0 tie against Indian Creek last night, but oh, what a fun game to watch! The girls battled all the way to the final whistle and created some great opportunities… we just couldn’t quite get one in the back of the net!

@ Scottsburg
The Lady Jets traveled to Scottsburg and tied 2-2, but this game was a WIN in so many other ways. After being down 2-0, the girls battled all the way back to tie it up displaying extreme TOUGHNESS and no quit. The Jets outshot Scottsburg 28 to 7 on the night.

The Lady Jets were defeated 4-0 by a good Union County team.

Boys Soccer
v. Union Ct.
The Hauser Jets (10-3-2) rebounded Saturday with a win at home over Union County 3-2. Goals were scored by Rowan Honeas (2) and Phillipe Douce. Landon Pendleton added an assist. Luke Raisor added seven saves in goal and Austin Sanders came in for relief and collected one save.

Today’s “Man of the Match goes to Rowan Honeas with two pretty goals. The Jets finish their regular season Wednesday night at home on the Practice field at 5:30 p.m. versus CCA. We would love to see as many fans as possible.

Cross Country
@ Great Pumpkin Invite
The Jets took second place to Lawrenceburg on Thursday at South Ripley’s Great Pumpkin Invitational.

Jace Wright led the field from gun to tape, taking first place with a time of 16:00.0.

Max Moore finished in 17:30.9 for 12th place, with teammate Braydon McFarland right behind in 17:31.4 for 13th.

Nevin Noble secured an 18th-place finish with a time of 18:04.3. Kevin Heindel (19:09.1) and Mason Johnson (19:15.2) went 29th and 30th, Grady Niccum (20:10.6) was 41st, and Evan Tibbs (22:20.1) finished 55th.

Moore and Niccum ran season-best times, while the rest of the squad recorded career personal bests.

@ Hope Heritage Days Classic
Hauser and the Hope community welcomed nine high school cross country teams for
the 42^nd Heritage Days Classic on Saturday.

Jace Wright captured his second individual win of the week, crossing the line in 16:33.5.

Max Moore placed 6th with a time of 17:58.4. Braydon McFarland ran 18:09.0 for 9th place, and Nevin Noble was 15th in 18:33.4. Kevin Heindel took 20th in 19:33.3. Mason Johnson (20:13.7) and Grady Niccum (20:43.3) placed 26th and 31st. Evan Tibbs ran a new personal best of 21:16.4 to finish 33rd.

The Jets finished second to Indy Genesis as a team.

The Hauser cross country program extends its thanks to everyone who helped make the meet a success.

The varsity squad competes again in the Greensburg Invitational on Thursday and then travels to Terre Haute for the Nike XC Town Twilight meet Saturday night.
