Deputies taking part in sober driving efforts
The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office and the Columbus Police Department are joining about 230 law-enforcement agencies across Indiana and thousands nationwide in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over mobilization. From mid-August through Labor Day, police will be out in full force arresting impaired drivers.
Sheriff appoints two new DARE deputies
Bartholomew County Sheriff Matt Myers has appointed two additional deputies to serve in the DARE program, Nick Martoccia and Andrew Whipker.

Hauser grad makes university president's list
Lily Cross, a 2015 graduate of Hauser High School, earned a place on the 2018 spring semester President's list with a 4.0 GPA at the University of South Alabama.
4-H Council to hold drive-thru lunch Thursday
The Bartholomew County 4-H Council will be holding its 13th annual Drive-Thru Lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 21st at the St. Peter's Lutheran School front parking lot.
